This diptych of two ideograms represents the word peace in Chinese characters. The first ideogram, 平 means to be pacific and horizontal, whereas the second character 和 stands for a circle; for harmony. The two symbols joined together signify peace in Japanese. The artwork playfully replaces a line for the first character and a circle for the second character. The displaced print in relation to the watermarked droplet gives the feel of dripping water, adding imagery to the word.
